One Phone To See It AllIt is most unfortunate and unthinkable, but it really did happen. Never thought I'd be a victim, but apparently a bastard just made it happened to me.
No, I'm not having a child out of wedlock.
My phone got stolen while I was at work today.Usually, I'm not an evil person but from the bottom of my heart, just for this exceptional instance, I SINCERELY HOPE THE CULPRIT(S) GET RUN OVER BY A CAR. OR JUST DIE FROM HANDPHONE RADIATION (may my trusty Nokia 6170 turn into a mighty powerradiationhouse the moment it realises it's not with its rightful owner and shock that fucking asshole to death).
:'(
I think it happened while I was serving some customers on the side of the stall that's opposite our 'work' area where I left my phone in a hurry when a customer called out to me.
Come on, the phone is such a personal item! It means so many things to me - obviously, contacts of friends and family, pictures of the good old times (nope, no naughty videos that's for sure) and so much sentimental value!
I remember my Dad forking out more than freakin' 400 bucks for that phone which is not the norm for a tech idiot like me (it's definitely worth much less now, but was pretty ex because when I got it, the model was just launched). It's just that I was so in love with the sleek metallic casing of the phone and it was
supposed be my reward for scoring 3 As in the A levels.
A gift from my Dad for academics. Definitely not a norm, either. It's always been my mum who runs the award ceremonies.
Now, it's gone.
I don't even know what to say anymore because I still can't believe that just happened in probably less than 5 hours ago.
My pay for the past week (ie. the slogging for the past 5 days of work, enduring the 12 hour shifts, annoying, demanding and deadbeat customers, all the dust at the stall) can't even cover the cost of the phone.
(meanwhile, you might not be able to get me at the old number because I have to bring my Dad down to Singtel to get my sim card replaced and I STILL DO NOT DARE TO BREAK THE NEWS TO MY PARENTS, so I'm gonna be indefinitely phoneless. If there's an emergency, reach me at home at 68998696!)
And I finally went to see a proper derma this morning. When I applied the medication on my face, some trickled down onto my right eyelid but thank god I shut my eyes in time otherwise I'd be both phoneless
and blind.
Oh, and not to forget, BROKE as well.
Argggghhh.
